About Caitriona...

Caitriona Kenny is a multi-talented Singer/Songwriter, Photographer, Writer, Poet and Human Potential Personal Development Coach. Through these mediums she continues to develop and bravely combine her talents to bring us something special, exceptional and unique.
She is a Correspondent for the Tipperary Town pages of The Nationalist newspaper since 2008 and in 2013 she took on the additional role of Event's Photographer for the newspaper.
Her strengths lie in the conceptulisation of ideas and bringing them alive through creative design and artistic mediums to an actual physical product. From an idea to realisation, to sourcing to product... she thinks it, she creates it, and does so with an acute consciousness to create something that will enhance people's lives.

Caitriona Artistic Landscape Photography is synonymous with beautiful photographs of the Glen of Aherlow and Galtee Mountains. Her beautiful images are published as landscape Christmas cards, customized for Towns and Villages throughout South Tipperary and have become infamous and sent to many corners of the world. In 2012, Santa contacted Caitriona and asked if he could help create new Christmas cards... Who could say no to Santa?

Since her debut exhibition of the Glen of Aherlow in April 2007, Caitriona's distinctive use of colour & light have wowed the public and in August the same year, her exceptional perspectives of the Rock of Cashel resulted in Caitriona being awarded the Tipp FM Arts & Entertainment award for Photographic Artist. (The first photographer to receive this Award).
Her unique style and eye for promoting the beauty in local areas has led to her high-quality framed works and 'fine-art prints' being sold locally, nationally and internationally. A natural progression of postcards, commissions for tourist brochures and her work being published in tourist and heritage books add international publications add to the long list of accolades for an artist who has produced a huge amount of works since her debut in 2007.
In July 2008 her fourth exhibition ‘Love, Blessings & Healing’ exhibition of photography, combined with her compassionate poetry & blessings to invoke love & forgiveness, opened at the Granary in Cahir, Co. Tipperary, and received was featured on RTE’s TV Programme, 'Nationwide'.
Caitriona’s work is sold throughout shops in South Tipperary (and now on this website) and in the past, a number of her works was bought by the Kilkenny Group and sold nationally. In 2009 she created photographs and design for a National ‘Disabled Awareness Campaign’, (Cashel Goldstar Initiative) & also took photos for the official Calendar for Emly National Tidy Towns winners 2009. In 2010, she created new ‘Pride In’ collections for villages & towns including; Bansha, Galbally, Emly and was commissioned to create the photographs for the new Tipperary Town Brochure 2010; offering a catalogue of beautiful framed or unframed photographs and postcards. Her photographs of Tipperary have appeared in books and articles world-wide.

Caitriona's Portrait and Wedding Photography

Her attention to detail and passion to produce beautiful work in options of full colour, black & whites, sepia and vintage tones make her work very attractive to perspective clients. All family events are covered including: Communions, Confirmations, Birthdays, home family portraitures etc.

Caitriona's Press & Event Photography

Since 2013, her work as a press events photographer for the Nationalist newspaper has captured hundreds of local events as well as national and international personalities passing through. Her press photos appear frequently in other Tipperary newspapers and the Tipperary People Magazine. Caitriona now takes on lots of freelance commissioned work covering events for clubs, organisations, award nights and corportate/business events. She works with businesses to create new marketing/website/brochure photographs of what they do and staff headshots etc.

Caitriona's Music & Songs
Before Caitriona turned her artistic talents towards photography she had written and produced her own music album as a singer/songwriter titled: Coming Out of the Woods'.
It received a very rare, 5-out-5 star review in The Irish World newspaper in London. “Stunning, Impressive and Highly accomplished!” Exclaimed Noel Mullen, Irish World. “Quality folk-tinged songs showcase her versatility & real talent as a singer/songwriter. She would remind you of a young Kirsty McCall, bringing something very new and important to the game.”
In 2005, three tracks from the same album: ‘Always’, ‘Dreaming’ & ‘James Kenny’ and two instrumental pieces reached semi-finalists positions in the UK Song writing competition from thousands of international entries and resulted in Caitriona being awarded an Honorary Music Diploma in Song Writing by the World Music Foundation.
Just recently, in July 2012, her 'Pop-Gospel' song titled: 'Peace Be With Me' won the 'Mick Touhy Memorial Perpectual Cup' for 'Best Irish Entry' at the 2012 Tipperary International Song of Peace Competition. (For more information see the MUSIC page on this website.)

As a creative writer, she wrote a novel in 1993/4 and poetry that has been published in collective books, magazines and Ireland's Own as well as being featured in her 2009 exhibition, 'Love, Blessings & Healing'. She has promised friends to re-surface her novel and make it available as an E-Book... Watch this space... Has she left any stone unturned...?
